Palantir CEO Denies Surveillance Allegations as Stock Rallies
Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp forcefully denied allegations of surveilling U.S. citizens during an appearance on the All-In Podcast. The AI software firm, known for its government data analytics platforms, saw its stock rise 9% this week amid continued investor confidence in its government contracts and AI adoption.
"We are the single worst technology to use to abuse civil liberties," Karp asserted, claiming this very characteristic prevented NSA and FBI adoption. His denial contrasts with 2017 Snowden leaks showing Palantir's software integration with NSA's XKEYSCORE surveillance program.
